Epoxy Flake Floor Systems and Colors

Epoxy flake floors add color, texture and a clean, finished look to residential and commercial concrete.

Epoxy Flake Floor Systems and Colors

An epoxy flake floor gives your concrete a terrazzo-like finish, with a blend of decorative flakes sealed into the coating system. We install flake floors for garages, basements, businesses and other spaces where a durable, easy-to-maintain surface matters.

Flake Color Options

Fifteen standard blends. Colors shown are samples, and a finished floor can vary slightly.

How an Epoxy Flake Floor Is Installed

Every flake floor follows the same order, and each step sets up the next.

1. Grind the concrete

We grind the slab to remove dirt, oils and old coatings. That opens the surface so the new floor can bond.

2. Repair cracks and damage

Cracks, chips and pits are filled and leveled before any coating goes down, since the finish cannot hide them.

3. Prime when the concrete needs it

Soft or porous concrete gets a primer so the coating does not soak in.

4. Base coat and flake

The epoxy goes down and your flake blend is broadcast into it while it is still wet, until the color is full.

5. Scrape and vacuum

Once the base has cured, loose flakes are scraped away and the floor is vacuumed clean.

6. Seal with a clear topcoat

The topcoat locks the flakes in and leaves a smooth finish that wipes clean. Polyaspartic is available over suitable systems.

Epoxy Flake Floor Questions

Answers to the most commonly asked questions about our flooring installations.

What colors are available for epoxy flake floors?

We offer 15 standard blends: Autumn Brown, Cabin Fever, Coyote, Creekbed, Domino, Feather Gray, Glacier, Gravel, Nightfall, Orbit, Outback, Safari, Shoreline, Stargazer and Tidal Wave. See them in the showroom.

Does flake flooring hide dirt and imperfections?

The random flake pattern helps disguise minor concrete imperfections, dust and everyday debris. Mid-tone blends are often a practical choice for hiding dust and tire marks.

Is an epoxy flake floor slippery?

The textured flake surface can improve traction compared with a smooth finish. The feel underfoot depends on the system and finish selected.

Where can flake flooring be installed?

Flake systems work well in garages, basements, commercial kitchens, restrooms, concession stands, dealerships, offices, retail spaces, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, locker rooms and schools.

How do I choose the right flake blend?

Consider your wall color, lighting and how much dirt or tire marking you want the floor to disguise. We can help you compare the available blends when you request a free estimate.
