Quartz Flooring and Quartz Epoxy

Quartz epoxy floors for garages, kitchens and shops.

What a Quartz Epoxy Floor Is

Colored quartz is broadcast into epoxy to build a textured, slip-resistant surface in a range of colors. It suits garages, commercial kitchens, shops and other busy floors.

How a Quartz Epoxy Floor Is Installed

The order is the same every time, and each step sets up the next.

1. Grind the concrete

We grind the slab to remove dirt, oils and old coatings. That opens the surface so the new floor can bond.

2. Repair cracks and damage

Cracks, chips and pits are filled and leveled before any coating goes down, since the finish cannot hide them.

3. Prime when the concrete needs it

Soft or porous concrete gets a primer so the coating does not soak in.

4. Base coat and quartz

The epoxy goes down and the colored quartz is broadcast into it while it is still wet, until the surface is covered.

5. Remove the loose quartz

Once the base has cured, the excess quartz is scraped away and the floor is vacuumed clean.

6. Seal with a topcoat

The topcoat seals the quartz in and keeps the textured surface easy to clean.

Quartz Epoxy Questions

Answers to the most commonly asked questions about our flooring installations.

What is quartz flooring?

Quartz flooring is epoxy with fine colored quartz broadcast into it, which creates a durable, textured surface.

Is a quartz epoxy floor slip resistant?

The textured surface adds grip, and the texture can be matched to the space. We will talk through the options for wet or busy areas.

What is the difference between quartz and flake?

Quartz uses fine colored grains and gives a denser, more textured finish. Flake uses larger decorative chips for a speckled look.

Jose did a great job on our garage floor, from the beginning of the estimate to the end of the job it was a great service. They showed up on time every day for the work and were very thorough and professional. He did the floors at my work a year ago and they still look great.
